Lightbulb Bypass theft system?

1999 Blazer, 4DR, 4.3 Vortec, 4WD, 200k miles.

I'm not having any issues with the theft system, but I am looking to bypass it to install remote start (specifically the Viper 5706v. Not my first time installing remote start, however, it is the first time having to bypass a theft system. Are there any specific bypass modules that are better than others, or any easier way of over-riding this? Any installation tips?

The anti theft system needs to be disabled through pcm reprogramming. Ordinarily you don't have to sacrifice your security to add remote start. As always, if someone here does know how to bypass the anti theft system please send it to Nwjudge in a private message. That way we're not posting in an open forum how to steal our beloved blazers.

Question

Did anyone answer this? I just purchased a 94 s10 Blazer and I can't get it to start. Thinking it's the anti theft Viper system on it. It cranks but doesn't start. There is a mysterious toggle switch under the I/P and I have a keyfob with two buttons.

Typically aftermarket security systems use a relay to cut the starter wire when armed, so most likely if it was the Viper system causing the no-start situation, it wouldn't crank at all.

I'm pretty sure that the factory Passlock system wasn't added to the S-series trucks until the 1995.5 model year, so if your truck is a 94, it likely isn't related to a factory security system either.

The first place I'd start with diagnosing the issue would be with a fuel pressure leak-down test. There's instructions on how to do this test in the Tech section.
