To be truthful it depends on the cop... some don't mind as long as they don't face outwards... while others freak out if your radio lights are blue.

You'd probably be safe going for purple. Just make sure they aren't gonna look blue, ya know. That stupid "violet" color that looks really close to blue.

And I have no idea where to get those... first place I'd try is Autozone... next is eBay... i know for a fact they'll have them... they've got EVERYTHING! lol. And stuff like that is usually cheap too.

Those strips will work well too. Just make sure they are tucked in well. I hate seeing cars with their LED strips all hanging out. Like the ones who get the strips instead of the Neon bulbs for underglow... and on top of the strip hanging out they decided that they only needed one 12inch piece for their 36inch long side skirts. So there is just this 16inch by 2inch bar of color. I just want to slap 'em on the back of the head and tell them to go buy a dern Neon Bulb kit!

btw I'm a visual person... I like to put pictures to my stories/rants

Also, Zip Ties are your friend! Before you do anything permanant, zip tie those suckers and look at it from different angles to make sure it will look good.

I think what I am going to do is get two of these(pic) for the top and bottom. They come in 39 inch lengths, and then they have 19 inch lengths which I will use for the sides. They don't have purple though which is disappointing but if it's too bright and I dont like it, I cant send them back.

Dude I'm sure you can look around on eBay and find some purple. It took me FOREVER to find the pink led bulbs.

Yeah, I will look some more, I dont have the money for them right now anyway, but I am thinking blue because all the lights in my truck are blue!

But thanks for all the replies, love your Blazer too, btw. Does it have the Vortec 350 or just a 350?

Its actually got a 1974 358 that is getting ready to get the upper half off a 1979 4 barrel carbed 350.

Oh and if you do go for blue. Make sure to wire them to their own switch so you can turn them off if you need to

Thats sweet! I went from my Vortec 350 (rings and seals were shot, motor was abused before I got it) and this summer I put in a 1979 350 for now, when I get the money though I plan on putting a 383 (375hp 428ft/lbs torque) with a turbo 400 trans, haha just gotta come up with about 4 grand!

She's looking good though, keep it up!
