and I can find it by the GM number printed on it...

Welcome to the forum. That's an ignition control module. Borg Warner Development (BWD) part number CBE122.

Giovanni , I am glad this post came up again on the forum I have been wanting to tell you about this site called Troubleshootmyvehicle.com which has a GM section and that goes to a sub section of: GM 4.3L, 5.0L, and 5.7L Vortec engines. Don't be confused about the inclusion of the 5.0 and the 5.7L V8 engines. They are members of the GM Vortec family and have many similar parts and issues with the 4.3L V6 we have in the Blazers. Next to having a Factory Service Manual/ FSM , this site Part 1& 2 is the next best thing. See part 1 page 4 for info on the ICM.
