Default Dash light and battery issue - need help!

Hi guys,

Dont know what happened to my previous thread on this, but here goes.

Have a 2001 Chevy TrailBlazer LT (v6 auto), the problem i am having is:

1.) when you start the vehicle, the dash lights light up as per normal, but when the motor cranks over the dash lights go out, which they should, but then switch back on, this is annoying as the fuel guage doesnt show how much fuel is in the truck, and the temp guage stops working, i know both of these work but need to know what the hell would be killing the guages and keep the dash lights lit up.

2.) the other problem i am having as well, when you lock the vehicle by using the lock button on the door, the security light on the dash stays lit, this shouldnt be staying lit, but it is and killing the battery over nite.

Any ideas or help on this would be GREATLY appreciated!...

It's right where you left it.
electrical problem
And this makes the 3rd thread you have started on this subject. How do you keep losing them? I will close this one and one of the others.
