whenever i shut the door or move in the vehicle the dome light flickers. i took the lens off and the festoon light is in there tight. i have a green festoon led light in there and have for about a year with no prior problems with flicker/ etc. any idea why?

 

Have you checked your door switches,they maybe going bad

 

I say just play some techno and have a party in the truck!

But I second checking the door switches. Or the Feston is going bad, try it with a regular bulb and see if the problem persists.

 

if it was the door switches, wouldnt the light still stay on even with the door being shut? the festoon has maybe 1500 hours estimated of light time. not saying that it cant be that, but i hope not haha. how should i go about testing the door switches? just have the door open and press them in and out? lol

 

I would start with the bulb itself honestly. I am not sure were you got the light from, but cheap LED bulbs tend to have problems.
are any of your other interior lights having problems?

 

Yeah definitely check the bulb.

 

i got them all from superbrightleds.com (courtesy, trunk light, and dome) the rest have been fine. which makes me think maybe its the bulb, i took it out and then reinstalled it last week and it worked fine again up until now. sometimes it works fine and other times it blinks. maybe its a ghost who knows haha

See, with LED's they either work, or do not, yours are working, but flicker, so if its anything, its a component on the board that controls the LED's, whether its a diode or a resistor.
