Driver's door lock
#1
The lock on the driver's door doesn't really move when you use the switches on the door or the key remote device. Could this be an electrical problem or is it just old and need to be sprayed with wd40 or something?
I'd like to try not to have to take the door apart, because that can be a pain, but if there's no other option for me, let me know.

The linkage could be bound up and not pivoting, or the door lock actuator is wearing out. Have to take the door panel off to investigate. It should only take 10 minutes to pop it off.

Sounds like a little lube would cure your problems. Once you get the panel off you'll see that the actuator rods run through some plastic clips. Don't ignore these either.

I Yeah I have experience with these. Lord help if you break one of those little things. I didn't get around to looking at it today. Maybe tomorrow. Its not that important to me so I'm in no rush.
