Electrical help needed

Im going to try and wire it up today and see what happens,I seen a diagram that shows it hooked this way.So I`ll see.

Another thing if anyone has A 96-97 AND WOULD MIND LOOKING UNDER THE HOOD TO SEE HOW ITS hooked up that could be of help also.Thanks

Tried hooking it up to the latenator no dice

Question

Update I looked under the hood of my neighbors 98S10 and 01 Jimmy,Niether of the wires coming from the harness are hooked up to the battery or altenator.Now Im thinking the go on the positive side of sTarter cylinoid.Can anyone confirm this?
