Default Electrical Problems (2002 Blazer)

Hey everyone. First post here. I’ve been researching my problem and I keep ending up here so thought I’d post. I’ve found different elements of this problem in different posts but never all these issues together so I thought I’d post.
Here’s my problem:
I just got my blazer, it’s a 2002 with everything stock. Yesterday we installed an aftermarket mp3 input. (Here’s a link to the device we installed http://isimplesolutions.com/product.aspx?zpid=394) It works by taking the signal from the antenna and running it through the device before running it back into the antenna input for the stock stereo. Didn’t mess with the wiring for the stereo one bit, but this box needs power so we removed the power to the cigarette lighter (never use it) and wired that power into this box. Closed the dash back up, plugged everything back in and that’s when the issue started.
The rear windshield wiper no longer works, the digital odometer/PRND321 indicator no longer come on, gas and engine temp gauges don’t work and the stereo only works when the key is in accessory mode. I found a post on here with a similar sounding issue that said to check the #3 fuse (cruise control) and low and behold it was blown. I replaced it with a new 10A fuse and it immediately blew again as soon as I started the car. The #8 fuse was also blown (2A fuse) but I haven’t had a chance to try replacing that one yet.
Other than these electrical problems everything else is fine, engine runs great, all other electronics function normally, etc. Any thoughts on what I should try/ check? Any thoughts are appreciated! I love my blazer already and I’ve only had it for a few weeks so I really want to fix it!! L

if the fuses keep on blowing, there has to be a short somewhere.
