Which USED to happen a lot back in the nineties when I was helping my kid and his friends sort out probs with sound system Amps
Well I was thinking if a switch or relay or a switch TO a relay was stuck in a closed loop/circuit then that could be draining the battery over a short time.

LOL GUYS! i did not hook the amp up but i do know all about the wireing done! Those big stereo wires you buy in those kits was used , ssooo i will explain more, i only have a cheap sony stereo w/ 2channel hookup (if thats how you say it?) then i put a big boom box in rear w/ 10inch woofers ( you know those big boxes) and i wasnt getting the right sound, so added the amp (wolf?? 1000 watt 4 channel) then made a speaker box myself w/ 10 inch speaker for the middle of my front bucket seats ! And yes i do have an alarm system aslo! THEN couple of months later it seemed like i was just loseing power from the truck so i searched the internet for answers and give it a tune up and low and behold inside the distributor theres (hypeathetically speaking) plastic (SOMETHING) melted too a crisp! replaced that but still same problem ! from there it went to alarm out ac out heater out then battery guage always DROPS (not digital old type) half way and never goes back up! then to driving quarter of a mile and it dies, then an old man pointed out the wire from alternator was fried (HOT BURNED SCHORCHED) now its been sitting 4 2 weeks after replacing ALL NEW, alter battery, fuel pump, AND SO MUCH MORE and truck wont start!!!!!!!!!!!!!
