Question Flasher noise!

I have a 96' S10 LS and since I bought it it's had a flasher noise and my blinkers wouldn't flash,a couple of weeks ago my brake lights went out and the noise stopped, I replaced the fuse and not only did the brake lights work but so did the blinkers, they went out again the other day and I tried to replace the fuse and it pops as soon as I put it in,I tried 5 different fuse's and they popped too. I've looked for the blinker flasher and cannot see it, can anyone tell me where the flasher is and how to get to it.Or if you think it might be something else I'm open to suggestions.

This is a fairly common problem. Typing "clicking+behind+dash" into the search box should get your the pertinent results. Typically, this is caused by problem in the multifunction switch.

BTW, please do not PM for tech help. The link in my signature explains why.

Ok, so I just went out and replaced the fuse again and it didn't pop, had the key off, the clicking noise was back I turned the key on and then off and the starter started going on and off and then the fuse blew, now I'm really confused, could the Multifunction switch cause this?
