I think that I will leave the fog lights alone and either hook a relay up to the high and low beams or just buy a set of driving lights.

 

I think the stock ones help a little, I like how they look. Are HIDs like projector or are they xenon type lights? Xenons should just go right in shouldn't they? I know projectors are a lot of work and expensive.

Not sure about grounding or even touching the fog switch/headlight panel cause its tied into the dash. Never seen diagram for it either.

For lows I have a Hid Extra kit- very easy to install and cheaper than some bulbs.
I have all the other stock bulbs upgraded and 37.5w in the stock fogs.
I also have a set of PIAA Fog/Driving lights on a bull bar to get light low.
Add the Quad beam mod and DO THE Big Three and its like day time.

 

Pardon me if this is stupid, but what do you mean by the big three? And is the Quad beam mod safe for the stock wiring or does anything need changed or strenghened? I was toying with the idea of some smallish square fogs in the tow hook area if they would fit or under the valance possibly. Sometimes my thoughts aren't the most coordinated lol

The big 3 is when you upgrade the batterie to ground wire and batt. to altenator wire and chassis to engineblock wire with larger/better quality wire.

 

Is there a wiring kit to do the big 3 or do you have to make up a kit

 

I did mine myself, I used 2 gauge wire and proper connectors for that size wire, if you half *** it you could end up on the side of the road with a dead batt.

 

Would this have any effect on the DRLs or the auto headlights or the fuses for them? And I'm thoroughly confused on the setup

 

It will help with voltage drops when your running everything and get rid of the dimming.
I do most of the time have way to many electronics and lights working haha but I use/need it all.
DRL'S and Auto light stays the same

 

I was reading back in some old posts and I read about putting 9005 high bulbs into 9006 dim side.
Would you have to up the fuse on the dims?
And I wonder if it would blind people.(I drove around with brights on in town all the time the brights just look like a couple cheap $1 flashlights taped to my hood)
Has anyone done the 9005 to 9006 mod to their blazer?
I tried to find a video of it on youtube to see how bright it was.
