Default Found a clipped 2 pin connector

I'm new to the forum about two weeks ago when I purchased a 95 4x4 4-door with 125,000. It's had a number of issues which I've been able to resolve because of the great advice here. I should lead by saying that I'm not a certified mechanic by any means but I've never hired anyone to work on any of my vehicles in the last 14 years. I'm still working through a few issues on this thing, one of which is a 2 pin connector I found lying inside the fan shroud. It has a pink wire with black stripe and brown wire, the connector is black with an orange grommet and there are spots for 4 wires but the outside location on either side is blocked from factory. The connector was definately clipped before I purchased the blazer-I've looked everywhere in the area and cant find where it came from. As for the blazer's running condition, it runs pretty well, no codes showing up on dash, drove it home about 20 miles. I replaced the alternator because of low output which helped, but now the brand new rebuilt alternator is running at 11.4v again. I exchanged it and it's doing the same thing. I know it needs a new battery and I'm hoping that will help- but it seems unlikely. Any help with either issue would be greatly appreciated...can't seem to post a picture of the connector.

Could the clip have ran to factory fog lights that might be missing now? If that were the case there should be another on the other side.
Could it have ran to the A/C (if equipped)? They have a 2 wire weather pack that clips into the top of the compressor. (at least on my 2002 anyway)
Does a '95 have air bags? That could be the weather pack the goes to the air bag sensors behind the bumper. If so, DISCONNECT the neg on the battery before plugging it back in just to make sure the sudden spark of power doesn't set off the air bags lol.
If you have a bad battery it could draw a lot of power from the alternator, making the volts go down on the meter.
Also check the grounds & + at the starter & grounds to the body, chassis, engine etc.

https://blazerforum.com/forum/new-me...ust-read-5169/ should help you with image posting.

The blazer is a/c equipped, which is another problem on my repair list, but no missing wires or connector. There were no fog lights that are now missing, it didn't have them, unless somebody changes the bumper, which I kinda doubt. I'll check on the starter connection ref the alternator and I'll be purchasing a new battery today....still in search of where this connector goes to.

Well just put the new battery in and she starts up very nicely now, the alternator is now kicking out 12.18 as opposed to the 11.4, but that obviously still isn't high enough. Still unable to find where the connector goes to.

The connector fits in the alternator connector but it has 2 wires and I only need 1....maybe 95 needs 2?
