Default fuel level gauge 95 Blazer inaccurate

I really like my 95 Blazer but what the hell did GM think while inventing that fuel level gauge? No, mine is not really broken but there seems to be no compensation at all behind it. If I step on the brake the gauge goes down up to a quarter on the scale and if I accelerate the same happens in the other direction.
Did anybody ever try to smooth out the fuel signal to get a more accurate reading? I'm thinking about putting a big capacitor in the line or something like that. If anybody did this before, how did you do it?

Once you start having problems with the gas gauge? This will be a perfect time to change out the whole unit as a whole, not just the sending unit.It wouldn`t make sense to have to pay someone to pull the tank, and just change the sending unit without changing fuel pump also. This includes if you do it yourself.Always remember this (one important) rule of thumb..If you have something torn down, replace everything else while your at it.Knowing your luck,if you just change out the sending unit..the pump will decide to fail a little while later.Just make sure you buy a fuel pump that has a lifetime warranty, make sure you buy the correct fuel pump for your year, make and model truck.
