I ve been having some problems with opening and closing my hatch and tailgate on my blazer due to missalignments caused by the strain induced by the tire carrier. now, i have bybassed my mechanical actuators taht release the hatch and replaced it with a pull string connected to the actuator arm, however this is due to the fact that every part of the assembly has been knocked out of alignment due to minor fender benders. the long and short is the hooks line up now and the hatch deffinatley opens and closes with the use of said pullstring, but my gate ajar light stays on and accessory power turns off after removal of the key because a door is open. any thoughts on how to bypass this?

 

disconnect the pin switch just to the top and right of the latch.
