Gauge lights on dash not working
Recently my gauge lights, like my speedometer light and the other four like oil pressure and gas gauge lights, stopped working. I took the gauge panel out and checked the light bulbs and they were all fine. When I turn on the headlights there are two green arrows that appear and stay on instead of the normal instrument lights. The icon lights such as the brake lights and seatbelt light still work though. it's a 97 Chevy blazer and I just can't figure out the problem.

Could be a bad headlight / dimmer switch. When you turn the dimmer switch all the way on does the interior lights come on? Do they come on when opening the door?
The turn signal indicators (green arrows) could mean that a bulb for the turn signal or park lights could be out.

Yes when I turn the dimmer switch all the way up the overhead light goes on and the same for when I open the door. I checked all the turn signals and the parking lights as well as the high beams and they all work fine.

That doesn't rules out the dimmer switch being bad. May want to take multi-meter set to dc volts and see if volts to the light for the ashtray varies when turning the dimmer switch. Does the light for the ashtray get brighter and dimmer with moving the dimmer switch? If so then it is in the gauge cluster.
That leaves something with the dash. could be a bad connection, bad ground.
Got this info from an 03 but still second gen. Look for ground 203 should be to right of the ashtray. Other than that I have no ideal.
