headlight rewire...
hi,
i would like to rewire my headlights to make them brigther.
i found a couple threads discuting it but i have a hard time traducting everyting in french...
i want to start by doing to low-beams, and if i like the result, i will do the high-beams.
now do i need 1 relay per side ?, or 1 relay for both low-beam ?
if i undestand, 1 will work but if it fails, i will have no low-beams at all ?
and i use the 2 stock wires that goes to the bulb on the relay, but what about on the driver side ? do i just tape them and leave them disconnected inside the wire loom ?
thanks for any help !
Anthony

Hopefully your screen name relates to your vehicle... Regardless, you should post your vehicle information.
As far as making your headlights brighter by adding relays, all 98+ trucks already have relays under the hood for the headlights.
One relay or two just depends on how complicated you want to make it. If a single relay goes, you can always pull over and swap the wiring back around to stock provided you do a plug-n-play type installation by getting the proper mating plugs.

thanks for the reply,
i have a 98 blazer 4door 4x4 auto.
i know/guess that there is allready relays for the headlights but check this link: Headlight Rewire How-To 98+ - S-10 Forum
it looks to improve lighting quite a lot !
the way they explain it/the way i will do it will not be plug and play.(if it fails during night i gotta have a back-up plan or a relay on each lights)
if you have any tips for me let me know !
thank you
