HELP with security light

Default HELP with security light

ok so my turn signal/brights/wiper switch went bad.. so i went to the junk yard got one from the same modelyear and every thing, changed it out with a couple hours a little difficulty but i got it in and ever thing... it works great!.. except my security light is now ON. not flashing. just ON all the time. and my car will not start i know it wants to but the security is holding it back..
it feels like when i bought a new key for my grand prix that wasnt micro chipped. it will turn over run for about a second and shut off...

i dissconected my battery and let it sit for a good amount of time came back to it and tried starting but the same thing happened..

please help.

Did this not long ago on my '99 Safari since I had to replace components on the column. Are you sure you put everything back right, if so:

When you get everything back together, you will need to do the Passlock relearn. Time consuming, but not hard. Turn the key to Run, then VERY BRIEFLY turn it to start - do NOT let the van start - and back to Run. Leave it in Run for 10 minutes; the Security light will flash for the full 10 minutes (mine turned solid for the last 10 secs or so before it went out). When it goes out, turn the key to Off and wait 10 seconds. Do it again - turn to Run, briefly to Start, back to Run for 10 minutes. Turn the key to Off, wait 10 seconds. Do it again. This time, when you turn the key to Run, the Security light should be solid as normal and the van should start and continue to run.
