Default HID head lights

hey all, My name is Jeff and im 17. My mom just got me a 96 blazer and i wanted to upgrade the head lights with some HID's. Dose anyone know of any HID's for this truck I am wanting 10K, but imma need a conversion kit because it has the glass headlight now! So if anyone as any info that can help, i would really appreciate your help.

Ebay has tons of lights to fit your blazer.
There is also someone offering a special deal to members here, look around the forum main page, I believe the thread shows along the right.

don't get 10,000k the blue impairs the brightness of the lights. For maximum brightness you want somewhere from 4000K-6000K, and if you don't want the lights for performance and just the blue color don't waste your money on HID's and get the 10,000k halogen bulbs off of ebay like $10 a pair

think im going with a pair of the hid extra's. hows the reliability? anyone melting anything?

Not melting from what I've heard. A few ballast problems, but they have 2 year warranty.

Ive had nothing but problems with hid extra. I bought 4 sets from them and 3 out of the 4 have horrible flickering problems at start up and then constantly when driving and has yet to ever stop now and they are only about 3 months old and the flickering started from day 1 and is only getting worse. They told my to swap bulbs and ballast to see that the problem is and i did its the ballast's and nothing was accomplished by doing that. If you get hids get them elsewhere

Mine flickered a bit on start up but that has decreased over time and they don't flicker at all once they warm up.

get your HID's from ddmtuning.com they are $30 for a pair and I've had mine almost 2 years no problems to speak of, no flickering or burning out

Those have lifetime warranty, but I hear they are dropping their HID products. Not sure how that would be handled in the future if they stopped working.
