Default hid install, now I have no high beams

I know I sbould have searched, but its a pain in butt on my phone. Please excuse typing as well. I instslled a set of 3000k low beams, with no intention to put hids in my high beams. The low beams are great and.better than brights. But the high beams are not working now. I can live with out them if need be but if they worked that would be great. I have heard you need to install a relay in order to grt thr high.beams working again. Any input is appreciated.......98 blazer lt

I don't really know how much different yhe blazer light setups are different then the bravada/jimmys but I did all my lights and when I did my brights the factory had the pos & neg backwords so I took the terminals apart and switched them so I'd say start there. Just remember K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple Stupid lol and good luck.
