Default Ignition B fuse blowing

Hello I have a 98 RHD blazer. The problem is as above the ignition fuse keeps blowing when I turn the ignition key to crank. The fuse is a maxi 40 amp fuse. It happened when I was driving it but I managed to get home, the gauges didn't work and the trans was stuck in 3rd gear. I have pulled all of the fuses, put in a new ignition switch, isolated the alternator and the starter but still the fuse keeps blowing. The starter is ok as the engine runs if you jump the starter. Just can't start it through the ignition. I am looking for some help please.

only thing i found for this issue on identifix was this. says it was a aftermarket alarm wiring issue....

1. Check for aftermarket equipment.

2. Install a testlight in-place of the 50 amp fuse.

3. If the testlight is illuminated, disconnect the connector C211 located at the base of the steering column.

4. If the testlight is still illuminated disconnect connector C5 a Black connector under the Underhood Electrical Center (UHEC).

5. If the testlight is still illuminated replace the UHEC.

6. If the testlight is now out, replace the Red wire between connector C5 pin B and connector C211 at pin D2.

Finally I got around to spending a bit of time over Christmas on the blazer. I have managed to isolate the problem by hooking a new wire from fuse b to the ignition switch. It wasn't that, I also have bought a new ignition switch and it isn't that. I cut the white wire on the exit from the switch which has solved the blowing fuse prob and I can start the truck but I have abs light, low fuel light, battery light and other dash lights on. I can't seem to chase the white wire other than to the gauge fuse in the side of the dash. So everything is ok up to that. Any ideas from any body would be great.
