So, my wife has a 2001 Blazer, and for a while now we've had battery drain troubles. Been going through it steadily, and the problem would evaporate, then a while later reappear. Growl....
So, on the UK spec Blazers there is a powered antenna for the radio, and this one started to be reluctant to extend retract fully. So I unplugged its harness, and behold, the problem went away again.
Few days later, yep, you've guessed it, flat battery, again. GROWL.....
Then I recalled the dome lights having a life of their own, randomly lighting without switching or door opening. Hmmm. I fitted a used switch panel bought from fleabay, and fingers crossed it seems to be OK.
On vacation from tomorrow in it, so let's see......(Using the S10, 'cos my Silverado 6.0 is a gas hog, and with gas costing around eight and a half bucks equivalent over here you can see why!).
I'll post later with success or failure of my current remedy!
