So I have 98 chevy blazer 4WD 4 Door LS and it hasn't been giving me many problems until now.
I had the rear left turn signal go out a couple weeks ago, so I decided to replace all the turn signals because I have had my car near a year and I didn't know when any had been replaced.
So last Sunday, I drove the car from Lexington, KY to Cincinnati, Oh and back and all over Cincinnati. Everything was fine, except it was raining and hot so I had to use my wipers and air conditioning a lot.
When I went to start it up Monday, and it ran fine except when I was 1/3 the way to work, my ABS light, Security Light, Low Fuel, and Battery Light came on, and my fuel gauge went to E as well as my shifter light went off. I found this odd because I knew the car was full of gas.
So I called my mechanic friend and before he came out I started the car and everything was normal and nothing happened. He said he noticed that my voltage gauge was low and said it appeared to him like the battery wasn't being charged all the way, so he said to put a new alternator on it. He got me a new one for $80 and slapped it in there and after he had put it in the gauge was reading 14.
The next day I went to work and the same thing happened as did Monday. So after work, I started it up and it was running normal but the gauge never appeared to reach 14 and would wiggle halfway between the tick that is between 9 and 14 and the 14 mark. So I took it to auto zone and had them check the battery just to be safe and they said it was at 13.8 and perfectly fine. They also commented that maybe the computer just hadn't learned the alternator yet.
So I just let it go and went to bed and woke up yesterday and it did the same thing. And after reading a few threads on here decided to replace the 4WD 10 amp fuse. This morning my favorite dash lights didn't come until very late in the drive but still were on none the less and the security light stayed on until I locked it with the remote.
I don't know if it's pertinent to mention the once in about every 40 drives my speedometer and tachometer wave their arms like they are saying "DANGER WILL ROBINSON" and then if you restart the car they calm down.
Anyways, I guess I am wondering if there is something wrong with my car that will make it stop running or if "I am just paranoid" like my girlfriend says. Feel free to suggest other things that are relatively easy and cheap to check out.

This sounds like the start of a full on ignition switch failure. Take a look at the thread linked to in the bottom of my signature which discusses exactly that topic. There are also threads in the DIY section showing how to replace the ignition switch.
