Hey all, I just took ownership of a 2001 Blazer 4x4 LT 4 door today, so I guess this is my newest forum.

I have a quick question, and I've searched through the threads some already but didn't seem to get a 100% clear answer.

If I have the AU0 code in my glove box, does that mean I can get any keyfob off eBay (as long as it's meant for a 2001 blazer) and be able to program it per the instructions I've found here? Or do I need to find a keyfob that specifically matches the FCC ID (which from what I understand is found under the console)?

Obviously, the guy I bought it from only had 1 key, and no keyfob. He said it does have an alarm, his kids discovered by accident. LoL

 

yea, you have to pull the lower dash panel and ge tthe fcc id number off of that module and then find one on ebay and then program it.
