Hi all. Been checking out the forum for some time now and its been helpful in my past issues. I can quite find anything about my new problem that has happened. Driving home yesterday, the rpm gauge randomly starting tweaking out and flying all over the place . Then all the dash lights popped on and the truck shut off just like if I were to turn the key off. Tried to start it and it wouldn't start. Finally got it started and it ran horrible. Wouldn't stay running and no power. Almost like it wasn't firing. Finally putted my way to a gas station and let it sit for 5 minutes. Started it back up and ran just fine. My service engine light had always been on and so has my airbag light and both weren't on anymore. Drove it about 8 more miles and it did it again. Finally got home . My mechanic friend said it could be a bad ground wire or the computer itself is going bad. Anyone have this happens to them? Sorry for the long story just trying to explain this odd problem. Thanks

The service engine light and air bag light did come back on eventually but bit was like it reseted itself .

Sounds like an ECM problem. Does your mechanic friend have an OBD scan tool?
