Hello everyone! I've gotten a lot of help here just searching searching Google, figured I'd finally make an account. Hopefully I'll eventually give back some knowledge too.

So a bit about me, just bought a Blazer a month or so ago while shopping for a different SUV. It's a 2001 4dr LS 4x4 with most of the options ticked. Mechanically it's been great, starts right up, runs smooth, enough power for what I do. Plan to invest in some goodies, seeing as I found a relatively rust free (I live in Illinois, nothing is truly rust free) and solid truck.

So electrical has never been my thing, and that's where this thing has gremlins. The cabin fan speed only works at speed 3/4, not 1/2. Think I know the fix. The 4x4 engages hi and lo like nothing but, the lights are only slightly in working condition, so if I don't hear/feel it engage, I have to tap on it too make the light come on. I engage the turn signal and sometimes it's fine, but other times it works intermittently or not at all. The green arrow won't come on, and having checked it outside, if the arrow isn't on, the light isn't on. It might blink once or twice, then it's gone. My side mirror adjustment switch works intermittently as well. I adjust them by quickly tapping the switch, so that now and then the mirror moves just a bit. Annoying. Half the radio lights are dead, but I figure I'll get an aftermarket unit eventually anyway. The floor vent doesn't work, but I've read about that fix, vacuum lines just die so whatever.

Anyway, anyone know what I'd have to replace to fix the issues I'm clueless on? Any help would be much appreciated. I have a Hanes manual but I'm afraid I'll replace the turn signal stock and find out it's something else. Thank you again! Excited to contribute here.

Blower fan issue is most likely a faulty blower resistor. 4WD issue is probably poor solder joints in the dash switch. T/S will need diagnosis, best if you start a dedicated thread for that. Side mirror problem is common, corroded switch contacts from rain water dripping on the switch when the window is down. Radio lights are replaceable, they are soldered to a board and requires radio disassembly to replace them. Cheap but timely repair. Lose the Haynes manual, they're worthless unless you need guidance doing an oil change

Thanks so much! Good to know it's nothing too serious. I guess I was taught that electrical issues start small and quickly get worse. I'll have to look into the turn signal, hopefully going to a real mechanic soon for a little diagnosis. Thanks again!
