New Viper alarm disables Automatic Headlights/DRL?
Hey guy, first post here
So I have a 2002 blazer, and the automatic headlights have always worked flawlessly for me until the other day. Two days ago I had a Viper alarm/remote start installed by an authorized dealer, and now my Automatic headlights and DRL's do not come on or turn off without my intervention :\
Any ideas?

My 2002 Blazer came without a key fob or factory alarm system (also, I wanted to add remote start).
Also, my emergency brake is not engaged, and there has not been an issue with the Automatic lights in the last 2 years. :P

I would take my truck back to the authorized viper dealer and ask them if the equipment they installed is compatible with automatic headlights and DRLs. If it is then explain that your's worked before they worked on it and politely ask them if they could double check their install.

Do the DRL come on normally when you start it with the key, not the remote starter? It's possible that the installer set up the remote starter to trigger the park-brake wire when remote-started to prevent the headlights from coming on when you're not in the vehicle.
I agree with the above advice to take it back to the installer and ask them about the behaviour of your DRL and auto-headlamps.
