No Backup Lights

I bought my Blazer a few weeks ago and immedietly noticed the backup lights were not working.
Since almost every bulb in her was burned out or fried, I bought new bulbs and when I pulled out the old lights they were fine.
The second thing I checked was the reverse switch in the transmission. I had the tranny rebuilt right after I bought it, so I thought that that had to be the issue! I unplugged the sensor and everything seems fine.
I am unsure where to go from here...
Any Ideas?

Did you actually check for continuity on the reverse switch?

Yea, the switch was bad, so I changed it and still no go... I ran out of time, but hopefully tomorrow I am going to check if the new switch is actually working when I put it in reverse. If it is not working, I have an issue with my tranmission and if my ohms meter beeps it a wiring issue.
