No Crank No Start after driving fine
So my 1987 s10 blazer 2.8 TBI has been having intermittent stalls then dies. I have replaced fuel pump all tune up/spark plugs/radiator/iac/map/ignition switch/battery optima/ new 200amp alternator/new 0 gauge ground….14.6 on charge with car on and all power on 12.6 once turned off.. I think there is a short somewhere this never used to happen. It used to never have the issues when the fuel pump was intermittent and I had to spray starter fluid. Now the shocking part I drove to LA 88 miles away Flawless so my confidence was high then the next day I stahl and get towed home. Next day start fine I drive 7 miles dies. No turn no crank no lights on dash but all power 12.6 on batt and all lights on. I rewired my stereo to the battery with a fuse to by pass any potential shorts but still happens. Was tryin to give detail sorry for the novel.
So yes I think it was the IAC SENSOR went out it extended to almost one and a half inches. It’s supposed to be about 1 inch when it’s a good IAC SENSOR this caused me to have an immediate stalling that would flood the ECM, because of too much gas in the TBI and it would want to stop to let out the gas, so I will be test driving this week and report back
