Default No headlights!

I own a 97' Blazer. There are times while driving that my headlights will go out and switch to daytime lights. All my other lights stay on during that time. The headlights will not turn back on for days at a time. Then there are times that they will work for 15-20 mins and switch off again. Any help on this would be great. I am in the military and hate driving on base not knowing if my headlights will stay on or not. Thanks.
