hey guys im new here but not new in the automotive world. i purchased a 2000 blazer that had minor mechanical issues and a few electrical issues. i keep replacing parts and fixing problems only to get a new problem. so maybe someone here has dealt with this issue and can point me in the right direction.
i had removed the manual seats and installed power seats and they worked at first. then they stopped working and the battery kept dying as well so i searched and found a badly corroded and loose connection under the rear carpet and fixed that issue so the seats worked and the battery no longer drained.
then ignition switch main power wire had rubbed against the collumn so much it was exposed and soldering to it. so i replaced the ignition switch. and was greeted with a ses light. turns out it was for the shift solenoid b in the transmission. i replaced that and no more ses light.
but now somewhere between fixing these things the wipers (front, rear, and both pumps) are no longer working. they were before and now they are not. the signal works the cruise as far as i know work (cant tell because bulb is burnt out and wont display and havent driven it to find out) so now i have tested for power at the fuses to the wipers and i am not getting power to them. so now i am at a loss.
could i have shorted something to cause this problem or is there a relay i can test or may not have grounded? any help would be appreciated.
