not an issue, more a 'what is it?'

I was behind the grille today replacing the hose clamps on the after market trans cooler when I saw this dimple thing attached to 2 wires on the bracket that bracees the hood latch. It looks like a protective rubber end you'd find on a volt probe, the pointy ones. But it's hard & being mounted there is really odd.
The only things I can think of are a temp sensor, but I thought the roof console temp. readings were from the temp sensor in the air intake. That or some sort of impact sensor, but those are clearly marked boxes behind the bumper for the air bags.
I'll see if I can get a few pics of it tomorrow.

That is the temp sensor for the overhead console.

Really?
Since I have a supercharger & the temps I read from the console are always higher than what the projected temps are to be, I thought the readings were from the intake. Because a supercharger increases the temps.
Now I have to rethink the engine temps.
thanks AJ
