Default nuetral safety switch

what is the solution or remedy to get the wire connector loose from the nuetral safety switch on the side of the transmission...97 4x4

i have broken the plastic housing using just my hands and the connector will not budge, im about to cut the plastic away from the wiring connector, trying to
salvage the wiring and connector...

i have already purchased a new switch mechanism, plate and all, now its time to plug it in...

any tips would be greatly appreciated

It's glued together. I have no idea why. You need to use a heat gun to soften the glue, then it will come apart.
