Default Overhead console swap

If anyone can help it would be appreciated. I have a 96 jimmy that had overhead console with compass and outside temp. Six wire plug going to it. I just installed a headliner and console from a 1998 blazer with compass and temp display but has a 8 wire plug. I have looked around but cant seem to find the wiring diagrams for them so i can wire it back up to work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Does the console from the 98 have the MPG and trip meter in it too? I retrofitted one of those into my 04 that just had the basic compass and outside temp to begin with, and if memory serves me right (and it's been MANY years...), I had to add in two new wires; a constant 12v and a signal wire from the OBD port for the mileage trip to work. BUT, I don't recall if the plugs were actually different between the two...
