Default please help! blower problems.

I have a 1997 blazer 4.3, 4x4, 4 door. the air/heat started acting up and would cut out when i was driving and then turn back on. then it stopped turnning on all together. I replaced the resistor and the blower motor and still nothing. checked all the fuses are good. checked voltage at the resister connector. 1st setting got voltage on one of the four spots, 2nd got voltage on two, 3rd got voltage on two different ones and fourth(high) voltage on two of the connection points.

checked voltage at the connecter to the blower motor. if the switch in the cab is set to off then there is zero voltage. turn it on and low setting and i get 6-8v and high gives me 10-12v. but the motor will not spin. i plugged the motor straight to a battery and it spun but when i remove the motor and plug it into the power plug from the truck and turn on the switch it does not spin even though when i check voltage at the plug it shows me 10-12v.

im at a loss. please someone shed some light on this subject for me. i dont know what else i can change or check??

thanks everyone, sorry for the long story.

well blower started working again. after replacing everything and pulling out my hair i unplugged one of the relays under the hood and the blower just kicked on out of no where. then i plugged the relay back in and the blower stayed on and worked just fine. the relay that i unhooked was under the hood on the passenger side of the truck. i have not had a chance yet to look it up and see what it is actually for but it did the trick. just wanted to post it up incase anyone else has run into the same issue and come up with no answers.
