power outlets question
i have a 02 jimmy sls and i have 3 power outlets factory in the front.. 1 in the ashtray and 2 under the glove box.
right now the 2 in the glove box are always on, is there a way to make them only on with the ignition? ive left my heated seat cover plugged in and killed my battery a couple times, also my XM radio is always on so i have to unplug it every time i shut off the car.

2002 GMC Jimmy Car Audio Wiring Chart
Car Radio Battery Constant 12v+ Wire: Orange
Car Radio Accessory Switched 12v+ Wire: Yellow
Car Radio Ground Wire: Black
Car Radio Illumination Wire: Gray
Car Stereo Dimmer Wire: Brown
Car Stereo Antenna Trigger Wire: N/A
Car Stereo Amp Trigger Wire: N/A
Car Stereo Amplifier Location: N/A
Car Audio Front Speakers Size: N/A
Car Audio Front Speakers Location: N/A
Left Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Tan
Left Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Gray
Right Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Light Green
Right Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Dark Green
Car Audio Rear Speakers Size: N/A
Car Audio Rear Speakers Location: N/A
Left Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Brown
Left Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Yellow
Right Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Dark Blue
Right Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Light Blue
Tap into the yellow wire from the radio harness or grab a switched 12V wire from the fuse box. The radio connector is likely easiest as it's close to where you're working. If you want to avoid a hack job, get a puck adapter so that you don't have to cut your OE harness up. You could also run a relay to that switched IGN wire and put your seat warmer on it also. Running the battery down having extras hooked to constant power is easily avoided.
Good luck.

damn... i was hoping there was a fuse relocation option.
in my caddy the outlet fuse has 2 spots it can go, 1 is always on and the other is on with ignition. its basically 3 slots, center is always used and then to the left is one way and to the right is the other.
anyone have a fuse box diagram??

Do you want to run it off the ACC switched fuse at the box?? That's the circuit the yellow wire tags into. You should be able to look at the diagram in your fuse box to determine switched ACC or radio. You can tie your power wire to the back of that I'd imagine. I would hold off on the heater unless you run it to a relay as you will blow that 15A fuse.
You could use a fuse tap if you're not comfortable tracing circuits, etc. Just pull the fuse for the ACC or RADIO and plug in the tap/fuse and then run your power wire. I assume you're ok with the grounding near the gear.
Here's what you will be looking at doing --->
Good luck.
