Question Power window switch lights not working

Ever since I got my 04, the lights in the front door power window & lock switches had never worked. Honestly didn't even know they had lights in them until I saw them lit up in another Blazer... I sort of just figured they all burned out so I never really thought much else about it. Well now I'm in the process of converting my interior to red LED's and NONE of them want to work in the switches... They do work outside of the truck when I apply power to them via a harness I snipped off a junk yard Blazer just to test them, but they refuse to light up when plugged into the truck. I can only assume they're tied into the rest of the interior dimming lighting circuitry? The switches themselves work fine, windows and locks all function like they're suppose to. I have yet to actually probe the lighting wires for power, that is going to be my next step.

Any ideas?

Default Blazen red 4x4

With power to your new LEDs be sure to turn them 180 if they don’t work, remember LEDS are polarity sensitive. And I have a question for you because I have done dash in blue LED and heater controls in red halogen T5 bulbs. I did not use LED in heater control because they leave a void in a few spots so went with a bulb that has 360 degrees of illumination. So that being said do you have to solder the red LEDS in the window controls? If so still polarity sensitive. I want to change mine also in my 2000 LS 4x4 but for just little light if it is soldering I will probably scratch the idea

Default

I did try to flip them 180, still nothing.

When you change the interior lighting to LED, the only ones that need soldering are the 4x4 switch, rear hatch/wiper switch, and steering wheel controls. There's a plug & play option for everything else. The headlight switch can be a funny one because of the way the bulb is on a long plug insert thingy (hard to explain, but you'd see what I'm talking about if you pull one out), you could probably pop a T4 but I'm not sure how the light output would be...

Default LED interior

So Blazen, got my interior change over done, here is what I did, will post pics if you want to see later. Dash cluster blue LEDs, heater controls I ordered red halogen bulbs cause just like on YouTube video the LEDs leave a void in the heater control fan speed 2 & 3 don’t get light and same on air direction bout half of middle put so the halogen worked, for my 4x4 switch and rear wiper switch I took them apart, removed the stupid blue cover and painted them with dupli-color perfect match touch up paint Torch Red, then baked it on with a quick heat gun application, they came out perfect and so much brighter without that friggen blue plastic cover and screw the soldering, so I did the same for headlight switch and both doors for the power window switches, and again power window, door lock, and power mirror switches are very visible once the blue cover comes off the bulbs and let the light shine thru
