Default Quad light mod.

I've been looking into this mod for high beams and low beams.. I saw you can just ground the yellow wire off of the low beams? Will this work on my 99.. Also my drl are turned off by bending tab on relay and auto head lights are off with a resistor.. Will I have any issues with that?

Not sure about the quad mod for that year. It worked for my 2002 4dr and my 2001 ZR2 though. The only issue is that you can't have the quad mod and no DRLs at the same time. When you ground out the wire for the quad mod the DRLs will work again.

I got around this by putting a switch in the wire that I grounded the yellow wire with. This allows me to have no DRLs during the day and quad headlights at night by just flipping the switch

On my 97, I built relay harnesses for my lows and highs just so I could have quad beams, mainly for my bi-xenon retrofit. Then put a diode between the 86 pins from the high beam to the low beam relays (silver stripe on the low beam side). You could do the same for yours, and relay harnesses are practically dime a dozen these days. Just pick up one for a 9006 and one for a 9005 and get a n14001 diode and splice it in.
It also disabled my DRL ( I later used halos tapped to the igniton switch as my DRL).

I'm confused with wiring.. But why couldn't I just put a switch on the ground wire ?

I made a video going into detail on the mod, I also do it in the video. Im mostly posting the response for the google searchers out there, and those who, like me, were very confused when first starting the mod and had to figure it out on my own.

I did the mod, before it I disabled my DRL's by taking out the relay, and disabled the automatic headlights by putting the resistor in the light sensor on the dashboard
So no DRL and no automatic headlights
Installed the mod and it hasn't affected it
