Default Replacing battery in Trailblazer

Hey everyone. I just got a 2007 Trailblazer and it appears that it has the original battery. It seems that the battery may be starting to go and I would like to replace it soon. However, after seeing some YouTube videos on how bad it is to disconnect the battery in these trucks because of the electronic throttle bodies malfunctioning and the HVAC actuators breaking, would it be possible/safe to replace the battery if I attach another 12v power source to the passenger compartment or engine compartment fuse boxes like a jumpstarter? Would keep the modules and CAN bus alive while I replace the battery? Is this safe to do without cooking anything? Thanks

i cant say that i have ever heard of such a thing, but you should be able to call the dealer and ask them some questions. i cant see why taking power away while changing a battery is going to actually break anything.

Hey guys. I think I got it covered now, but thanks for the tips. I found a cord at Autozone that plugs into the OBDII port that uses a cigarette lighter on a jumpstarter to keep the computer powered up.

This was what I was talking about:
