Default sensor help

Well I took my grill off yesterday cause I was looking at a place to mount some lights. when i popped it off i had seen an old socket behind i just laying there it looked like an old socket for fog lights and I noticed there was a sensor mounted be hind the grill on a metal piece. Im curious what that sensor is for. Does anyone have an idea. i can get pics if needed

Outside air temp for the overhead console or possibly ambient temp sensor if you have automatic climate control. If you have both, there will be two, one mounted to the center support and the other mounted over near the passenger side of the radiator opening.

The loose connector could be factory fog light wiring. They did that for a bit before the bean counters caught up with them.
