Shift Interlock Solenoid
Do you have a part number for what you need? What year is it?
I found two styles at GM Parts Giant that would fit a 99.
26060737 and 26094827. I got these part number from the Dorman website for their part 924-975. The first one might fit a floor-console model but I haven't been able to confirm it. The second one I'm pretty sure is the type the goes into a steering column.
Where are you in Idaho? I'm up north and my go to place to look for used parts is Spalding in Spokane. They are also affiliated with a couple u-pull places called Pull-and-Save.

I live near St Anthony, and i usually go to the I-Pull junkyard in Idaho Falls.
Right. Now I'm invested in this search!
I looked in my 99 service manual and what I found in the "Component Locator" table for both the "Steering Wheel and Column - Standard" and "Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt" sections that whereas the "Brake Transmission Shift Interlock (BTSI) Solenoid, (w/Column Shift)" is in the steering column, the "Brake Transmission Shift Interlock (BTSI) Solenoid, (w/Floor Shift)" is described as "Part of the Automatic Transmission Controller, in the center floor console."
Basically, it sounds like the interlock is integrated with the floor shifter, at least for the 99s.
I then looked at the exploded parts diagrams at nemigaparts.com to see what I could find. These are the pages and they all indicated that there is a solenoid built into the shifter.
https://nemigaparts.com/cat_spares/e...t/04/ts04-540/ part number 2 "Control, a/trns(incls shft lk override sol & prndl)"
https://nemigaparts.com/cat_spares/e...t/04/ts04-589/ part number 3 "Control, a/trns(incls 4)(incls shift lock solenoid and prndl)"
https://nemigaparts.com/cat_spares/e...t/04/ts04-561/ part number 4 "Control, a/trns(incls 1, 5, 14)(beige)(incls handle)(incls solenoid module)"
I hope this helps.
