Sorry, another courtesy light thread
Ok so my lights in my 95 4dr won't turn off. I checked the door jamb switches with a dmm and they all work including the one in the tailgate. I also tried just unhooking all of the switches and that didn't work either which makes me think it's a short. Is there a way to check where the short might be without ripping all the carpet out?
I would like to have the lights work but not if I have to rip everything in the interior out.
I tried a few searches and couldn't find anything I could understand.
Also the ACC part of the ignition dosn't work either, could that have anything to do with it?
Thanks

if the wire is nicked it has to be touching another bare wire or touching ground to cause a short. if the suspect wire is in a bundle, you can check between it and other wires in the bundle to see if they're touching. check your wire to ground and see what you get.
