Hi guys, I have done a search and believe my problem is my ignition switch, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to get input on my exact problem. So thanks for bearing with me.

I was driving my 97 blazer today when the gauges started flickering and the truck died suddenly. I was able to start it again and get it home where it died and would not start again. So when I turn the key on, the idiot lights do not come on, fuel pump does not prime, fuel pump relay does not click, the windows work, the blower motor turns on, my scanner will not connect to the ecu, and I can turn it over it just won't start. I also cannot shift it from park. Every once it a while the dash lights turn on and it will start right up. I can shut it off and I can shift it out of park as many times as I want until the dash lights go off again.

Anyways, before I go pick up the switch hopefully someone can back up or poke holes in my thoughts. Thanks guys!

Hey guys, just in case anyone else has this problem it was the ignition switch. Make sure you have the right socket for 97 and older or else you will be starting it with a screwdriver like me.
