Angry steering column connector cut off

hello guys, some azzhole stole my steering column out of my '98 blazer while it was sitting in the back 40. they cut the harness connector instead of unbolting it. i bought another column, but now i am faced with trying to figure out which wire goes goes where, most are simple, as they have only one of each color, but there are like 7 gray wires, 5 white, 5 green, ect. of the same size. has anyone run into this situation before? i've been allover the net, can't find nothing about going about repairing this mess. am i going to have junk my vehicle now?

Checking from the fuse block might be of some help eliminating dupes. Check for resistance not for 12 volts as you dont know what is right yet. Sorry for your misfortune.
