I’m having a hard time figuring out why my stereo quit working after I unplugged the old battery, and than my dash lights started to flicker and go dim when I hit the turn signals, I replaced the stereo had it tested before I installed it, bought a new battery, an checked all my fuses. The vehicle runs amazing and starts up no issue, it’s just those two things.

Can you give me more info on what started this? What do you mean by unplugged the old battery? What was the original problem?

the old battery had a dead cell so I got a new one, installed it after cleaning the leads and hooked it back up, the aftermarket radio won’t turn on anymore but it worked before, the lights would flicker but I had to run an additional wire to have them stop but the radio still doesn’t work and it was tested and works just fine.

 

What lights would flicker and what extra wire did you have to run? Did this also happen after the battery change? Were there any problems before the battery change besides a dead battery?
