Default stiff ignition cylinder when cold

When it is brutally cold out (talking 20 or colder) when I start the truck in the morning, or after its been sitting long enough for the interior to be cold as outside, Its really tough to turn the key, not tough enough to where something will break, but stiff enough that if you are not holding onto the key to turn it to run after the truck is started, it will keep it in "start" for a second after its running, keeping the starter engaged, which obviously is a problem, if you dont want to screw up your starter or flywheel.

Is there a way to lube these things to get them to move more free when its this cold?

I noticed this with mine once or twice, then when i swapped my column the other week it stopped. (i got the easy way out button)

Only thing i know is the old grease is dried out..you might have to pull it all out and clean it,and regrease it. Heck, try putting some graphite lube in it. its dry lube that worked great in my doors bolt lock lol.
