Street legal foul weather lights
Looking for suggestions for street legal driving lights. Driving conditions = fog, heavy rain\snow.

well i have a set of sheap autozone foglights that i put 100 watt kc highlights bulbs in. They work pretty good, but usualy if i want more light i just flip on my 130 watt kc daylighters. Not leagal but nothing else lights up the road better!

just turn them off if you see a cop or another car coming in the opposing lane

Yah I agree with spectre, just use them when there are no oncoming cars

go to walmart and get a set of "Platinum Burner" series drive lights. bright, short range, small. $20 for a pair. get 2 sets in you want to be sure. aslo come in rectangle or round by your preference.

Right now i just use the kc's for night wheeling, dark country roads/highways and when the some jack a#$ decides its a good idea to cut me off. The fog lights i use when ever its dark.

Had been looking at a set of PIAA 5 5/8 in. dia. 540 series xtreme white light black driving lamps. Over $200. Sure like the price of the suggestions I`m hearing.
The Blazer is being set-up more as an all weather\every day driver instead of all terrain. What ever I wind up with. I`ll probably remove the tow-hooks and mount them in\shining through the openings. The rectangular`s sure sound like they will fit a lot better and with little or no chopping.
Primary concern is not blinding myself in heavy snow so I want to keep them low and aimed at the road.

i'd mount them to the luggage rack and make it look like a light bar setup, that way you still have the tow hooks in case you get stuck or you have to pull someone out in reverse. yeah its a little bit more work but it makes the truck look more aggressive, each to his own. if your worried about doing the lights on the rack plenty of guys on here have done it and i know anyone and everyone on here would be able to answer your questions and give you some pointers

Had thought about the luggage rack. It`s still an option. Thought about a brush guard but want to keep the weight down. A top bumper mount is another option to keep the tow hooks. This is going to be more of an all weather not all terrain rig. Have a little different idea of the look I want it to end up with.
Besides. I figure the lower mount with a proper aiming job will increase my visibility as opposed to them reflecting back off of heavy snow. Less likely to hinder oncoming cars vision too.
Will be upgrading the OEM hi and low beams with Sylvanias as well.
The getting stuck part, or pulling someone out is a good point. Gotta throw that into the final equation when the final mounting point is decided.

had to use my tow hooks today, kinda funny i mention that and it turns out you do use them. lol. yeah you'll definetly need them at some point. mine got used pulling mine out of a ditch.
