Default tail light swap

I'm planning on changing all the lights on my blazer, starting with tail light. I don't like the factory lights at all. These are what i like: www.andysautosport.com/chevrolet/1998_9999_blazer/lights/tail_lights/spyder_auto/spyd00109085.html

Anyone have them or know if they're good? I don't want them to melt or something.

I'm on my phone qnd cant get the link to work maybe copy+paste into url if you'd like to see. Sorry guys!

They will be fine, they still use a regular bulb though in the center. the LED ring is just for looks i believe.

Same ones I have except mine aren't smoked. I had to use led bulbs because the regular ones got too hot and melted the plastic on the first ones I got.

Oh ok, so would I be better off buying more expensive ones or just these with the LED bulbs?

I've used them fine for a year now with led bulbs but thats your call. Wire the led rings into the brake light wiring.

Dont get plug and play LED's, You will be wasting your money, you will get more light out of an incandescent than you will out of the terrible plug and plays out there.
Do what o5 black jimmy said, get them, wire the led rings into your brake light wiring, and just install your normal bulbs where they should go in the housing.

There are some plug and play LEDS that work no problem, I bought both my tail lights, and LED bulbs off eBay, and they are perfect.
Here's a write up I did on making the rings light up dim for running, and full for flashers

(Running)

(Brake/signal)

Just make sure the bulbs you get say "Dual Filament" and get and Electronic LED signal flasher, and you will have noooooo problem
