Thinking electrical issue? Help please
So, a month ago, I was having an issue where intermittently my 2003 Chevy blazer would crank and crank but not start, it would spit and sputter but wouldn't start. Well, a month ago, I brought it to a shop to have them figure it out because I was lost. They said it was my key security because I don't have the original key. Well I got it back 2 days ago and everything was great. Woke up this morning, turned key , tried to start but wouldn't crank. Not a dead battery, it just does nothing when I turn the key. Had a buddy come over after work today and look with me after work and after like 5 attempts, it started, and has started every time since then. I pulled the boot off the distributor to make it not start so I could listen to the starter and it sounds strong and healthy. I'm lost what it is because right now it runs, this morning it did nothing. Anyone know where the shop would have bypassed the key security so I can check his work? Shop is a douche and he won't call me back. Looking for help. Thank you in advanced
Could there be an issue with the electrical part of the lock/ignition switch?
I once had the ignition switch quit on my while driving my little 82 Prelude. It was a worn electrical connection in the switch itself. Fortunately I was going slow in a small town. Bad part I had no cell service and had to wait for a friend to drive 30 miles to get me.
