Default Tried to start blazer, spark & smoke by distributor

Recent replaced the CPI and nut kit on my '94 s10 blazer 'W' motor. There's red wire that is loose by the coil pack (I think, hangs on the left (passenger) side of engine over the valve cover). Then there are two more what I presumed are red (i'm a bit color blind) wires back by the distributor that are loose. I feel these two are grounding out and caused the issue.

Before I replaced the CPI & nut kit, I was able to crank the motor without the spark & smoke. Afterwards, it's sparking & shorting (again presumed to be the two wires back there are grounding out).

Question is, what would be the easiest way to track this down & correct the issue? I've done my fair share of work on vehicles, but that work's been more on imports and I4 motors. Where could I track down some sort of diagram or wire map that explains what these wires are (like can I just cover them so they won't ground and let me start the truck).

I'll snap some pictures in a bit once I rip back off the plenum showing the wires (impossible to see/feel them with the plenum in place)>

Found the diagrams I was looking for.

IIRC it's the red and pink ones I need to repair.
