Default Turn Signal NIGHTMARE

Okay, so the problem started about 6 months ago, my turn signal switch was starting to go bad where it would randomly make the flasher turn on and click, as time went on the problem got worse, and a few days ago I actually saw smoke start coming out of my hazards on the steering column. So I work at Advance Auto parts so after my shift I went ahead and tore it all apart and put in the new switch, and when I ran the wire that went to the back of the ignition which I believe is for the pass lock I think I may have pinched the wire a little when plugging in the main block to the wiring harness, so i tore it back apart and the wire didn't look too bad but I'm not too good with wiring, so I'm not really sure what to think of it. but now when I turn the key to the on position my radio comes on, and my battery gauge works but the rest of the instrument cluster doesn't turn on including the automatic headlights, now im not sure if it could be the wire, or the passlock activating the theft system or what, this is a nightmare, could anyone provide some more info on this at all?

Does the truck still start and run? If so, I would doubt that it is the anti-theft system.
